Date Position |

Repunched 90 |
Obverse 70 is identified by date placement at RH, with date repunching
that features initial date impressions to the south within both loops
of the 9 and within the 0.
Reverse AAQ has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: The initial
date impressions of Obverse 70 are the result of a digit punch
impression that was positioned to the southeast and at an angle of 13
degrees clockwise with respect to the final date impression.
Variety 68 was first identified by David Killough, who initially submitted the above plate coin to Rick Snow for attribution. David's coin is the discovery example and the plate coin for Snow 62 and I am quite pleased to have it plated here as well.
