Obverse 61 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching
that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif of
the 1; to the south within the upper loop and below the upper loop, to
the north within the lower loop and to the southeast at the bottom
right side of the 9; to the south and north within the 0; to the south
within the upper loop and base, to the north within the lower loop and
to the northeast at the top right of the lower loop.
Reverse AAK has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: The minor
initial date impressions to the north at the bottom within the lower
loops of the 9, 0 and 6 fade in subsequent die states, though the
remaining initial date impressions remain.
Variety 62 was first identified by this author during mid November 2007.
