Obverse 38 is identified by date placement at LE, the top of a misplaced 0 or 6 digit within the denticles between the 0 and 6 and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif and base of the 1, as well as to the west within the upper loop and to the south below the upper loop of the 9.  Obverse 38 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AN.

Reverse AN is rotated 6 degrees clockwise.  Reverse AN has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 38 and has developed the following die crack:
1.  Die crack segment extending through the first outer olive leaf and ribbon knot.
Rev. AN.2:  Reverse AN has developoed severe die cracking between 5:00 and 7:30.

Comments:  During early March 2022, this author identified an example of Variety 39 with severe die cracking between 5:00 and 7:30.  This example is the Variety 39a plate coin in order to capture the AN.2 Die State.
