Small Die Break Atop Eighth Feather

Obverse 41 is identified by date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south within the upper loop of the 9, within the 0 and below the serif of the final 1.  Obverse 41 has developed heavy die flow lines and a small die break atop the eighth feather.

Reverse AO is in a similar die state as Obverse 41, with the advancement of heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  The Obverse 41 date repunching is very similar to Obverse 40 from the Variety 35 die pairing.

Variety 36 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late July 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the Obverse 41 date repunching.
