Reverse Y.2 Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 27 is observed with date placement at RH.  Obverse 27 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse Y and has developed a small die break in front of the forehead of Miss Liberty.
Obv. 27.2:  Obverse 27 has cracked.

Reverse Y is rotated 5 degrees clockwise.  Reverse Y has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 27 and has cracked.
Rev. Y.2:  The Reverse Die cracking from 3:15 as well as between 6:30 and 7:45 has become more severe.  A small die break has developed above the middle arrowhead and the die crack from the olive leaves has increased in scope by extending downward from the lowest olive leaf and through the arrow quill to the rim at 6:30.

Comments:  The Obverse 27 small die break in front of the forehead is similar to that of the die break of Obverse 9 from the 1892 Variety 7 Die Pairing.

Reverse Y is very close to developing a die break within the section between 6:30 and 7:45 during the Y.2 Die State.  Therefore, I am quite sure that Reverse Y will develop a break between 6:30 and 7:45 during a subsequent die state.

Variety 25 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the Variety 25a Plate Coin during early December 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the die clashing of Variety 25 and the Reverse Y die cracking.
