Comments:  Variety 18 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late July 2017 for inclusion in this book based on the Obverse 20 date repunching.  David's submission was special in that his submission included both an early die state as well as an advanced die state of Variety 18, which is an important tool in gaining insight into this die pairing.
