Reverse AAH Die Crack Mapping

Primary Die Crack (Click Image To Enlarge)

Obverse 60 is observed with date placement at B and has developed a rim break at 1:45.

Reverse AAH is rotated 6 degrees clockwise and has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 2:15 extends upward along the outer edge of the right wreath.
2.  Severe die crack from the rim at 9:00 extends upward through the left wreath and exits into the rim at 11:00.

Comments:  Based on the severity of the die crack between 9:00 and 11:00, there exists the possibility that Reverse AAH may develop a break in this area during a subsequent Reverse AAH die state.

Variety 58 was first identified by Walter Seiller, who submitted the above plate coin during early January 2023 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse AAH.

Plate Coin:  Walter Seiller Collection, XF40
