Reverse AT.2 Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 45 is observed with date placement at RE.  Obverse 45 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AT and has developed heavy die flow lines.

Reverse AT is rotated 7 degrees clockwise and is in a similar die state as Obverse 45, with the advancement of heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AT has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 45 and has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Light die crack from the denticles at 3:00 upward to the the wreath.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 3:00 downward through the outer edge of the oak leaves.
3.  Die crack from rim at 7:15 extends upward along the outer edge of the left wreath and exits into the rim at 8:45.
3.  Die crack splits from die crack #3 at the lowest outer oak leaf at 8:15 and extends upward through the middle of the left wreath to a point at 9:15.
4.  Die crack from the denticles at 11:15 downward through the outer edge of the left wreath.
Rev. AT.2:  Reverse AT has now developed a retained cud between 7:15 and 8:45.

Comments:  Variety 42a was first identified by David Killough during mid February 2019.

During mid May 2020, David Killough submitted a second example of Variety 42 that featured an earlier Reverse AT Die State prior to the formation of the Reverse AT.2 retained cud.
