Variety 20
Obverse
23 is identified by date placement at RH with date repunching that
features initial date impressions to the east at the bases of the 18,
to the east within the lower loop of the 9 and to the east within the
upper loop of the 6. Obverse 23 has developed light die flow
lines and is observed with some random die polish lines.
Reverse X is rotated 6 degrees clockwise and is in a similar die state
as Obverse 23, with the advancement of light die flow lines.
Reverse X also exhibits random die polish lines, with a
prominent one connecting the arrow quill and second olive leaf.
Comments:
The Obverse 23 date repunhing is wide, with the initial date
impressions within the upper loop of the 6 less bold in comparison to
the initial date impressions of the 189.
