Obverse 23 is observed with date placement at B.

Reverse W has developed the following cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 12:30 into the top right of the shield, where it extends downward along the outer edge of the shield and continues through the vertical bars of the shield.
2.  Radial die crack from 7:00, into the arrow quill and olive leaves towards E of CENT.
Rev. W.2:  Reverse W has now developed the following additional die cracks:
3.  Die crack from the rim at 1:30 that extends through the wreath and into the right side of the shield, where it intersects die crack #1.
4.  Heavy die crack from the rim at 4:00 that extends along the middle arrow head and shaft to the lowest olive leaf.  A radial die crack originates from this die crack at the middle arrow head and  touches the right foot of CEN(T).
5.  Die crack from the rim at 8:30 downward through the olive leaves.
6.  Radial die crack from the rim at 9:30 extends towards (O)NE.  A die crack in the left wreath connects this die crack with die crack #5.
Reverse W.3:  The die crack from #3 as well as the die cracks from #5 and #6 have become more severe.

Comments:  The Reverse W.3 die state warrants inclusion in the 'Severely Cracked Dies Index' located in this book.
