Obverse 18 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the base and to the east from the lower section of the upright of the 1 digit; to the southeast below the lower right side of the 9 digit; to the northeast within the 0 digit.  Obverse 18 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse R.

Reverse R is rotated 7 degrees clockwise and has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 18.

Comments:  The initial date impression to the right of the upright of the 1 digit as well as the initial date impression within the 0 digit was previously unidentified prior to publication in this book.

Obverse 18 will later return to service paired with Reverse AAAR during the 1907 Variety 95 Die Pairing.
