Reverse AAAW Die Crack Mapping


The third usage of Obverse 18.  Obverse 18 is identified by date placement at RH and the tops of a misplaced 0 and 6 within the denticles below and to the left of the primary 0 and 6 of the date.

Reverse AAAW is rotated 3 degrees clockwise and has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 1:30 extends downward into the right wreath.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 7:00 extends along the left side of the arrow quill and into the olive leaf above.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 9:45 extends downward through the oak leaves and olive leaves of the left wreath.

Comments:  Variety 100 represents the third usage of Obverse 18, which was previously in service paired with Reverse AAAR during the 1906 Variety 95 Die Pairing.

Variety 100 was first identified by this author during mid June 2022.
