The second usage of Obverse 70. Obverse 70 is identified by
date placement at B, the tops of a
misplaced 0 and 6 digits within the denticles below and to the left of
the primary 0 and 6 of the date and date repunching that features
initial date impressions to the north above the ball, to the west of
the upper right corner of the lower loop and to the east within the
lower loop of the 9. Obv. 70.2:
Obverse 70 has developed a rim break located at 1:30.
Reverse AAAV has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments:
Variety 99 represents the second usage of Obverse 70, which
was previously in service paired with Reverse AAT during the 1906 Variety 71 Die Pairing.
Variety 99 was first identified by this author during early April 2014.
