Obverse 39 is observed with date placement at C. Obverse 39 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AM and has cracked.

Reverse AM is rotated 6 degrees clockwise. Reverse AM has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 39 and has lightly cracked. A die chip, which is most likey a result of die cracking, is present between the right arm and the upright of CEN(T).

Comments: The Variety 38 Die Pairing was first identified by Jamie Morris, who submitted the above plate coin during late December 2023 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Obverse 39.
