Clash Marks Located Right Of Denomination


Obverse 35 is observed with date placement at C and an artifact within the denticles below the 0 of the date.  Obverse 35 has acquired clash marks from  a clashing event with Reverse AI.

Reverse AI has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 35.

Comments:  I suspect the Obverse 35 artifact within the denticles below the 0 of the date may be a hub-through, which is accompanied by a thread-like hub-through artifact that extends across the tops of the denticles above and to either side of hub-through artifact below the 0.  It should be noted that the hub-through artifact below the 0 lacks the geometry of the top of a misplaced 4 digit, which is the primary reason why I did not identify the artifact as a misplaced digit.

Variety 34 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during early January 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the artifact within the denticles below the 0 of the date.
