Obverse 39 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching
that features initial date impressions to the east of the base of the 1
and to the north within the lower loop of the 9.
Reverse AN has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: Variety 41 was
first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin
during early December 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the date
repunching of Obverse 39.
