Obverse 38 is observed with date placement at LH.
The second usage of Reverse
AC. Reverse AC is rotated 9 degrees clockwise and has
developed a die break that is located within the bottom right of CE(N)T.
Comments: Reverse
AC was previously in service paired with Obverse 28 during the 1903 Variety 29 Die Pairing.
The
Reverse AC die polish line that was located above the shield during the
Variety 29 Die Pairing is no longer visible during the Variety 40 Die
Pairing due to advanced die state.
