Die Roughness between Shield and Left Wreath


Obverse 34 is identified by repunching to the northwest on the lower loop of the 9 and repunching to the north on the left base of the 1, with date placement at LH.
Obv. 34.2:  Obverse 34 develops light to moderately heavy die flow lines and small die breaks at the base of the last 1.

Reverse AH is rotated 11 degrees clockwise and exhibits die roughness between the shield and left wreath.
Rev. AH.2:  Reverse AH develops light to moderately heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  Variety 29 is a product of misaligned working dies and may be characterized by the repunching of obverse 34 and a reverse AH that was hubbed deeply on the upper half.

Variety 29 was first identified by this author during late November 2016.  Variety 29a was identified by this author during mid May 2017.
