Obverse 61 is identified by date placement at B and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the east within the lower loop and to the southeast of the outside lower right side of the lower loop of the first 8 digit; to the east of the ball of the 9 digit; to the northeast within both loops of the second 8 digit.  Obverse 61 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AAI, though the clash marks are obscured by die flow lines.

Reverse AAI is rotated 7 degrees clockwise.  Reverse AAI has acquired clash marks through (C)ENT and to the right of the denomination from a clashing event with Obverse 61.

Comments:  Variety 56 was first identified by Jason Huffman, who submitted the above plate coin during late January 2024 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 61.
