Obverse 48 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features initial date impressions within the lower loop of the 9.  Obverse 48 is observed with artifacts among feathers 3 through 9 and die lines located in front of the portrait and a die line that connects the 1 and 8 of the date.

Reverse AV is observed with artifacts among the vertical shield bars.

Comments:  Variety 46 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during early July 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 48.
