Obverse 38 is identified by date placement at B and a heavy die file mark from the denticles at 11:00 downward into 'STA(T)ES'.  Obverse 38 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AL.

Reverse AL is rotated 4 degrees clockwise and has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 38.

Comments:  Variety 36 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2020 for inclusion in this book based on the heavy die file mark of Obverse 38.
