Obv. 16 and Rev. P Clashing Orientation

Obverse 16 is identified by date placement at B and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif and base of the 1; to the south within the upper loop of the 8; to the south within the upper loop and to the east within the lower loop of the 9; to the south within the upper loop, to the northeast above the lower loop and to the northeast within the lower loop of the 6.  Obverse 16 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse P.

Reverse P is rotated 6 degrees clockwise and has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 16.

Comments:  The orientation of the Obverse 16 initial date impressions indicate an initial date impression that was slightly counter clockwise with respect to the final date placement.

The Variety 12 die rotation of 6 degrees is a static rotational attribute of this die pairing and was evident during the clashing event between Obverse 16 and Reverse P.
