Obverse 40 is identified by date placement located at left half of
denticle and date repunching that features an initial date impression
below the serif of the second 1 digit.
Reverse AO is rotated 4
degrees counter clockwise. Reverse AO has cracked and has
acquired a clash mark located to the right of CEN(T) presumably from a
clashing event with Obverse 40.
Comments: Variety 38 was
first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin
during early July 2026 for inclusion in this book based on the die
cracking of Reverse AO. Upon examination of David's coin, I was
able to identify date repunching of Obverse 40.
