The third usage of Obverse 1.  Obverse 1 is identified by date placement at LH; the top of a misplaced 1 digit among the denticles below the primary 1 and first 8 of the date; repunched date that features initial date impressions below the serif and base of the 1 digit and to the northeast within the lower loop of the first 8 digit.  Obverse 1 has acquired a clash mark from its previous service.
Obverse 1.3:  Obverse 1 has now developed die cracking above 'A(MERI)CA'.

Reverse AZ has developed die cracking.
Rev. AZ.2:  Reverse AZ has developed a die break between 3:15 and 4:45.

Comments:  The Reverse AZ.2 die break between 3:15 and 4:45 consists of both a retained cud and a full cud.  The retained cud extends downward from 3:15 to the top of the lower arrowhead, while the full cud extends downward from the top of the lower arrowhead to 4:45.

Variety 51 represents the third usage of Obverse 1, which was previously in service paired with Reverse A during the 1888 Variety 10 Die Pairing.

Variety 51 was first identified by this author during early February 2021.
