Obverse 20 is identified by
date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date
impressions to the north above the top of the 1 and top of the second 8.
Reverse T is rotated 5 degrees clockwise. Reverse T has
acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT and has developed the following
die crack:
1. Die crack from the rim at 9:15 extends upward through the
outer edge of the left wreath.
Comments: Reverse
T exhibits a later die state compared to Obverse 20, which indicates
that Reverse T was in service prior to the Variety 18 Die Pairing.
Variety
18 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above
plate coin during early July 2022 for inclusion in this book based on
the Obverse 20 / Reverse T Die Pairing.
