Obverse 43 is observed with date placement at RH and has acquired clash marks.
Reverse
AR has developed die cracking.
Comments: Obverse 43
appears to exhibit an incrementally later die state compared to Reverse
AR. This difference in die state between Obverse 43 and Reverse
AR may indicate that Obverse 43 was in service prior to Variety 38.
Variety
38 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above
plate coin during early December 2022 for inclusion in this book based
on the die cracking of Reverse AR.
