Reverse AL Die Crack Mapping


Obverse 37 is observed with date placement at RH.  Obverse 37 has developed the following die crack:
1.  Light die crack from the denticles at 6:45 extends into the left base of the 1.

Reverse AL has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 3:00 extends downward along the outer edge of the oak leaves.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 5:15 extends upward into the ribbon knot.
3.  Moderately heavy die crack from the olive leaves extends upward along the outer edge of the left side of the wreath.
4.  Die crack from the rim at 8:00 extends upward into the top olive leaf, where it intersects die crack #3.  A small die break develops at the tip of the top olive leaf and into the oak leaf above.
5.  Die crack from the rim at 8:15 extends into the lowest oak leaf, where it intersects die crack #3.  A small die break develops at the top of the lowest oak leaf and into the oak leaf above.
6.  Die crack from the rim at 9:30 extends into the left wreath, where it intersects die crack #3.

Comments:  Variety 32 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2020 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse AL
