Reverse AH Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 33 is observed with date placement at RE and has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty.

Reverse AH has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 5:00 upward through the wreath stem, right ribbon end, lower and middle arrowheads and continues through the outer edge of the right wreath.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 7:15 upward through the outer olive leaves and continuing through the outer edge of the left wreath.  A section of the wreath between 8:30 and 9:00 develops a retained break.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 9:00 intersects die crack #2.
4.  Light die crack from the left side of the shield extends downward into the outer edge of the left wreath.

Comments:   Variety 28 may be characterized by an uncracked obverse and a reverse that is cracked along the left and right wreath.  The heaviest die cracking of Reverse AH is located between 7:15 and 9:00.

Variety 28 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late August 2019 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse AH.
