Clash Mark Through C Of CENT

Clash Mark To The Right Of T Of CENT


Obverse 30 is observed with date placement at RH.  Obverse 30 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AE.

Reverse AE has acquired clash marks through the C of CENT and to the right of the T of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 30.  Reverse AE has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Heavy die crack from the rim at 7:30 upward through the left wreath to the rim at 10:00.  A sizeable die break has developed within the left wreath between 8:15 and 9:00.
2.  Heavy die crack from the rim at 9:00 into the wreath and intersecting with die crack #1.

Comments:  Variety 25 may be characterized by an uncracked obverse and heavily cracked reverse between 7:30 and 10:00.

Variety 25 was first identified by this author during early March 2019.
