Obverse 29 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the south within the lower loop of the second 8.  Obverse 29 has acquired clash marks in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AD.  Obverse 29 develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack connecting 'Of A'.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 2:00 downward connecting the tops of 'AMERI' of AMERICA.
3.  Die crack f rom the rim at 4:00 downward connecting the tops of 'CA' of AMERICA.
4.  Die crack from the rim at 7:00 connecting the bases of the 188 of the date.
5.  Die crack from the rim at 7:00 upward connecting the tops of 'UN' of UNITED and into the denticles at 8:15.
6.  Die crack from the bust point to crack #5.
7.  Die crack connecting with crack #5 connecting the tops of 'ITED ST' of UNITED STATES.
8.  Die crack from the rim at 10:45 through 'ES' of STATES to the first feather.

Reverse AD has acquired clash marks through the C of CENT, to the right of the denomination, between the left wreath top and shield and between the right wreath top and shield from a clashing event with Obverse 29.  Reverse AD has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 12:30 to the top right of the shield.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 4:00 upward through the outer edge of the right wreath to a point at 2:15.
3.  Die crack from 8:45 upward through the outer edge of the left wreath to a point at 10:00.

Comments:  Variety 24 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid November for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Obverse 29 and Reverse AD. Upon examination of David's coin, I discovered initial date impressions within the lower loop of the second 8.
