Heavy Die Crack Between 6:45 and 8:00


Obverse 24 is observed with date placement at B.  Obverse 24 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse Y.  Obverse 24 develops the following die crack:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 9:30 through the tops of 'ITED' of UNITED.

Reverse Y has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 24.  Reverse Y develops the following die crack:
1.  Heavy die crack from the rim at 8:00 through the outer edge of the wreath, through the arrow quill and into the rim at 6:45.

Comments:  Variety 19 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late July 2017 for inclusion in this book based on the Reverse Y die cracking.
