Obverse 17 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif of the 1 digit and within the upper loop of the first 8 digit.  Obverse 17 has cracked and has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse R.

Comments:  The above plate coin represents the latest die state yet identified of the Variety 12 Die Pairing.
