Reverse Z Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 25 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the west of the lower loop of the first 8.  Obverse 25 has developed die cracking.

Reverse Z has developed die cracking.

Comments:  The Obverse 25 initial date impression of the first 8 is quite similar to the date impression of the first 8 of Obverse 22 from the 1884 Variety 19 Die Pairing.

Variety 22 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during early December 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 25 and die cracking of Variety 22.
