Reverse AK Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 37 is observed with date placement at LE and exhibits a late die state.

Reverse AK is in a similar die state as Obverse 37.  Reverse AK has acquired a clash mark between O(NE) presumably from a clashing event with Obverse 37 and has developed die cracking.

Comments:  The above plate coin represents the latest die state yet identified from the Variety 32 Die Pairing.  An earlier die state example of Variety 32, with Reverse AK lacking the die crack from the rim at 1:15, is known to this author.

Variety 32 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during early July 2022 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse AK.
