Obverse 17 is observed with date placement at RE.

During this second die pairing, reverse P has degraded further due to the softened state of the working die.

Comments:  Reverse P was initially in service with obverse 16 during the 1880 variety 14 die pairing.

Variety 15 was first brought to my attention by Craig McClain who submitted his coin for attribution of the reverse degradation during late October 2015.
