Reverse R Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 18 is identified by date placement at C and a localized area of die rust located between feathers 1 and 2.  Obverse 18 was hubbed from a working hub with a partially broken top of 'UNITE(D)'.

Reverse R has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Light die crack from the denticles at 11:45 extends downward through the upper right of the shield and continues through the field and into the upper right wreath.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 2:15 extends downward through the outer edge of the right wreath and exits into the rim at 4:00.  A small die break has developed in the field above the middle arrowhead, where another die crack splits from die crack #1 and extends downward through the middle and lowest arrowhead, right ribbon end and wreath stem.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 10:00 extends downward through the outer edge of the left wreath.

Comments:  Variety 18 is easily recognizeable by the large die rust lump located between feathers 1 and 2.  Higher grade examples will feature a smaller area of die rust located at the upper left side of the third feather.
