Reverse L Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 13 is observed with date placement at B and lint hub-throughs primarily below the date and above (ST)ATES.

Reverse L is identified by die rust primarily within the denomination, right wreath, middle and lower arrowheads, right ribbon end and denticles below the left ribbon end. Reverse L has acquired clash marks through (C)ENT and to the right of CEN(T). Reverse L has developed the following die cracks:
1. Die crack from the rim at 2:30 upward through the right wreath.
2. Die crack from the rim at 6:00 upward through the left wreath.
3. Die crack from the rim at 8:45 upward through the left wreath to the rim at 10:45.

Comments: Variety 12 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late August 2019 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse L. Upon examination of David's submission, this author was able to discover an identifying Reverse L attribute in the form of localized die rust.
