Obverse 18 is identified by date placement at RH, die scratch below the ear and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the south below the base of the 1.

Type I Reverse B is rotated approximately 12 degrees clockwise.

Comments:  Type I Reverse B represents one of the remaining Type I reverses, which feature a shallow O(N)E.  During 1870, the Type I reverse was superseded by the Type II reverse hub design, which features a bold O(N)E.  Accounting for only 4 reverses thus far identified that were in service in 1872, the Type I Reverse is scarce compared to the Type II Reverse.
