Reverse J.2 Die Crack Mapping

The third usage of Obverse 6.  Obverse 6 is identified by date placement at B and approximately 6 sets of misplaced digit punch impressions in the denticles below the date.  Obverse 6 has acquired clash marks in front of the eye of Miss Liberty and has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 5:00 through the base of the digits of the date.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 8:15, connecting the tops of ED of UNITED and exiting at 10:00.
Obv. 6.5:  Obverse 6 has developed a die crack from the denticles at 10:00 that connects the 'STA(TE)S'.

Reverse J is rotated 8 degrees clockwise and is identified by a raised lump on CE(N)T and a heavy die line from the first olive to the denticles.  Reverse J has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT.
Rev. J.2:  Reverse J has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 3:00 upward through the wreath to a point at 2:00.
2.  Light die crack from the denticles at 8:00 downward through the lower wreath to a point at 6:30.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 8:30 upward through the outer edge of the left wreath to the denticles at 11:45.

Comments:  The multiple misplaced digit punch impressions of Obverse 6 are quite interesting, with the number of misplaced digits far exceeding any other obverse in the entire series.

Reverse J was initially hubbed with a Type I reverse working hub, then subsequently hubbed with a Type II reverse working hub.  The resulting hubbing from two different designs from working hubs created class III design hub doubling visible primarily on (ON)E and C(EN)T.

Obverse 6 was peviously in service paired with Type I Reverse D during the 1870 Type I Variety 4 Die Pairing.
