The subsequent usage of Obverse 5.  Obverse 5 is identified by date placement at RH and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north of all elements of the 6 and 9 digits of the date. Obverse 5 has acquired clash marks and has developed die cracking.

Reverse X has acquired clash marks and has developed die cracking.

Comments:  Variety 23 represents another usage of Obverse 5 paired with a reverse of which I have not been able to confirm if it has been previously identified.  The above plate coin, which was purchased by me during late July 2022, features a later die state of Obverse 5 and a reverse that features die cracking not familiar to me in regrard to previously identified die pairings of Obverse 5.

Plate Coin:  D. Poliquin Collection, PCGS VF30
