Clash Marks Located Right Of Denomination


Obverse 12 is observed with date placement at LH.  Obverse 12 develops a retained cud between 7:30 and 8:15 and the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack connecting the tops of '(AMER)ICA'.
2.  Die crack from the left base of the 1 to the denticles at 7:00
3.  Die crack extending from the northern section of the retained cud and connecting the tops of 'UNI(TED)' and '(S)TATES.
Obv. 12.2:  The Obverse 12 retained cud is not absent, resulting in a full cud.

Reverse M is rotated 5 degrees clockwise and has acquired clash marks located to the right of the denomination.

Comments:   Variety 12 and 12a were first identified by this author during early May 2016 and early February 2021, respectively.
