Obverse 23 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the southwest within the upper loop and to the south below the left side of the upper loop of the first 8; to the west from the ball of the 6; to the northwest within both loops and to the north above the left side of the lower loop of the second 8.  Obverse 23 is observed with a lint hub-through within the denticles between the first 8 and 6 of the date, as well as other lint hub-throughs within the denticles at various locations.

Reverse X is rotated 7 degrees clockwise and is observed with lint hub throughs within the area of the arrows.

Comments:  Variety 22 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2021 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 23.
