Obv. 7.2:  Obverse 7 has acquired clash marks from an additional two clashing events with Reverse I, with one clashing event imparting heavy clash marks and the second clashing event imparting moderately heavy clash marks.  In addition, the die cracking of Obverse 7 has become incrementally more severe and the the rim breakage now extends between 5:30 and 8:00.

Reverse I is rotated 21 degrees counter clockwise.  Reverse I has cracked and has acquired clash marks from two clashing events with Obverse 7.
Rev. I.2:  The die cracking of Reverse I has become incrementally more severe and Reverse I has acquired clash marks from an additional two clashing events with Obverse 7.

Comments:  Many examples of Variety 9 are plagued by debris strike-throughs that obscure the 1 digit of the date and, to a lesser extent, the 8 digit.  Additional initial date impressions of the 8 digit are evident on examples of Variety 7 that have not been struck through  debris.
