Reverse AAO Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 24 is observed with date placement at RH. Obverse 24 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AAO and has cracked.

Reverse AAO is observed with diagonal die lines between the shield and right wreath. Reverse AAO has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 24 and has cracked.

Comments: During a later die state, the die cracking of Obverse 24 will extend along the bottom edges of 'UNITED STATES' and from the bottom hair curl to the ninth feather.

Variety 24 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late June 2024 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Variety 24 as well as the die lines of Reverse AAO.
