The second usage of Obverse 32.  Obverse 32 is identified by date placement at RH and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the west within the upper loop of the 8, to the west within the upper loop of the 6 and to the west of the upright of the 4.  Obverse 32 has acquired clash marks.

Reverse AAAU is rotated 13 degrees clockwise.  Reverse AAAU has acquired clash marks located to the right of the denomination and has developed the following die crack:
1.  Moderately heavy radial die crack from the rim at 12:30 extends downward through the right edge of the shield and continues through the bottom right of the shield and into O(N)E.

Comments:   Variety 43 represents the second usage of Obverse 32, which was previously in service paired with Reverse AAH during the 1864 Bronze Variety 24 Die Pairing.

The above plate coin was submitted by David Killough during early July 2022 as an example of the 1864 Bronze Variety 24 Die Pairing that had developed a moderately heavy raadial die crack from 12:30. Upon examination of David's coin, I found that Obverse 32 was paired with a reverse differing from Reverse AAH from the Variety 24 Die Pairing and I concluded that David's example represented a newly identified die pairing utilizing Obverse 32.
