Obverse 104 is observed with date placement at LE and has cracked.

Reverse AAAAG is rotated 9 degrees clockwise and has cracked.

Comments:   Reverse AAAAG is severely cracked between 7:30 and 10:00, with the section between 8:30 and 10:00 featuring bi-level field areas at 8:30 and 10:00.  Based on both the severity of the die cracking and the presence of bi-level field areas of the section between 8:30 and 10:00, I suspect a subsequent Reverse AAAAG die state will be discovered with a die break in this area.

Variety 109 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid August 2023 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Variety 109.
