Reverse AW. 2 Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 48 is identified by date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south and north within the upper loop, as well as to the south below the upper loop of the 9 and to the southwest within the lower loop of the 8.

Reverse AW is rotated 9 degrees clockwise and is identified by lint hub-throughs within the denticles between 5:00 and 7:00, as well as a long lint hub-through located within the left wreath.
Rev. AW.2:  Reverse AW has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Radial die crack from the rim at 2:00 extends through the right wreath and continues through the field to the top of ON(E).
2.  Radial die crack from the rim at 6:45 extends upward into the arrow quill.

Comments:  Variety 47 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the Variety 47 and 47a Plate Coins during mid May 2020 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 48.
