Obv. 8.2 Clash Mark In Front Of Eye

Reverse Diagnostics

Rev. H.2 Clash Mark Through (C)ENT

Obverse 8 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif of the 1; to the north at the bottom and to the south just above within the 0; to the north within both loops and to the south within the lower loop of the 8.
Obv. 8.2:  Obverse 8 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse H.

Reverse H has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Rev. H.2:  Reverse H has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 8.

Comments:  Obverse 8 most likely received two initial date impressions prior to the final date placement.  The first initial date impression resulted in initial date impressions to the south below the serif of the 1, to the north located at the bottom inside of the 0 and to the north located at the bottom inside of the bottom loop and within the top loop of the 8.  The second initial date impression resulted in wide initial date impressions to the south and are the northernmost initial date impressions within the 0 and lower loop of the 8.  I suspect the northernmost initial date impression within the 0 and the northernmost initial date impression within the lower loop of the 8 are from the tops of the 08 from the second initial date impression.
