Mint Mark Orientation (Click Image To Enlarge)

Obverse 1 is identified by date placement at RH and date repunching that features an initial date impression below the base of the 1.

Reverse A mint mark orientation is centered, low and tilted left.

Comments:   The above reticle image of the Reverse A mint mark provides an accurate attribution tool to determine mint mark positions of San Francisco minted coins.  The reticle imaage is created by the intersection of horizontal and vertical lines, with the horizontal line extending from the base of the wreath stem and the vertical line extending between the fourth and fifth denticles from the the left ribbon end.

Plate Coin:  D. Poliquin Collection, XF45 (Snow 6 Plate Coin)
