AAAJ.2 Clash Mark

Obverse 86 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the base of the 1 digit; to the north within the lower loop of the 9 digit; to the south within the upper and lower loops of the 6 digit.
Obv. 86.2:  Obverse 86 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AAAJ.

Reverse AAAJ has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Rev. AAAJ.2:  Reverse AAAJ has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 86.

Comments:  Obverse 86 features wide initial date impressions around the 6 digit, with the top of the initial 6 located within the top loop of the primary 6 and the top of the lower loop located within the lower loop of the primary 6.

During late June 2024, David Killough submitted a higher grade example of Variety 87 from which he was able to identify previously unpublished date repunching of the 1 and 9 digits.  David's newest submission represents an earlier Variety 87 die state due to the lack of the clash marks that were present on the former plate coin.
